Join JMACforFamilies in making a change–your support helps to make this work possible. Just Making A Change for Families (JMACforFamilies) is a non-profit organization led by impacted people, social workers, advocates, and organizers working towards the ultimate goal of abolition. They believe that families thrive when they are supported, not reported–and they are committed to creating a future where communities have the resources they need to remain whole.
JMACforFamilies pursues change through legislative advocacy, storytelling, and programming for those directly affected by the family policing system. JMACforFamilies also leads the Parent Legislative Action Network (PLAN), a statewide coalition of impacted parents, young people, advocates, attorneys, social workers, and academics collaborating to transform unjust systems.
JMACforFamilies helps run the St. Thomas Community Closet (located at 1405 Bushwick Avenue, Brooklyn, NY. 11207) in partnership with the St.Thomas Episcopal Church and Dr. John Robertson.
