A Story about Motherhood and the Family Policing System

The critically acclaimed film, Earth Mama, explores themes of family policing, motherhood, race, and poverty. The film introduces a pregnant single mother, Gia, who has two children in foster care. Gia fights to reclaim her family and make a life for herself and her kids in the Bay area.

Following the movie screening there will be a conversation with JMACforFamilies and the Informed Consent Coalition. They will discuss family policing and New York medical providers’ harmful “test and report” practices.
